Why OpenInfra?
OpenInfra Days are an excellent forum for discussing and learning about the latest in cloud-based and distributed services through open infrastructure.
The conversations cover a wide range of topics, including cloud computing, container infrastructures, big data, AI, machine learning, IoT, edge computing, software-defined storage, networking, network function virtualization, CI/CD, and 5G.
Cloud experts, customers, and partners share experiences, best practices, and case studies.
Our First Stop, Sweden
Our first stop was Sweden on May 7, 2024. Our CEO, Mohammed Naser, spoke about "Modernizing OpenStack with Kubernetes, Cluster API, Keycloak, and Rust."
He highlighted how OpenStack, while mature and stable, needed modernization to keep pace with evolving technology. Mohammed discussed using Kubernetes to run OpenStack, using cloud-native monitoring with Prometheus, updating Magnum to use Cluster API, integrating native authentication via Keycloak, and enhancing performance with Rust.

Next, Germany
On May 15, we were in Berlin as silver sponsors for the OpenInfra Day Germany.
We took part in "THE BATTLE FOR LOKI: Live Hacking Panel." (Think of it as a tech showdown with Linux, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure at its core).
We appreciated the energy that everyone brought to the live sessions!
Finishing Up in Paris, France
Our last stop was Paris on May 22. We were gold sponsors for the event.
Once again, Mohammed took the stage and talked about "Effortless On-Premise Kubernetes: Cloud-Native Experience at a Fraction of the Cost." He busted some myths about the prohibitive costs and complexity of on-premise cloud solutions.
We received questions about how to make setups as nimble as cloud services but more budget friendly. Overall, the response has been overwhelmingly positive—lots of note-taking and nodding heads.
Looking Ahead
Traveling through Sweden, Germany, and France for the OpenInfra Days has been inspiring.
We've met many amazing people, shared countless insights, and learned a ton. Looking ahead, we're more excited than ever to keep connecting with the OpenInfra community and see what we can all create together.
